1934 Cable-Nelson Baby Grand Piano in Queen Anne styling. The Cable Nelson piano company of Chicago, Illinois was founded in 1903. They are a bit of Americana, having built by hand thousands of unique pianos with American craftsmanship. At the time this piano was built the factory was owned by the Everett piano company. Cable-Nelson was taken over by The Everett Piano Company in the 1920’s and is one of a handful of American piano brand names to survive the Great Depression. Cable-Nelson and Fayette S. Cable brand names continued to be manufactured until the 1980’s.
Nelson joined the firm in 1905 and the company changed its name to Cable-Nelson Piano. The pianos' serial numbers began at 26000 and ran up from there. In the late 1920s, Everett Piano Company acquired Cable-Nelson and production was transferred to South Haven, Michigan. 22.07.2006В В· Thanks!
