The Art of Animation Resort (also known as AoA) in Walt Disney World is a unique property at Disney. I got to see a sneak peek of the hotel in 2012 prior to its’ opening and was amazed I always am at Disney World by the level of detail.

You start saving money immediately as there’s no need for a rental car. My second pick for the best Disney Value resort is Art of Animation. Disney’s Art of Animation is the newest Value resort and opened in 2012. It is located on the other side of Hourglass Lake, across from Pop Century. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk from the main building at one resort to the main building at the other.
Several Walt Disney World Resort hotel pool refurbishments taking place early in the new year 3 years ago. Art of Animation, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Fort Wilderness and Saratoga Springs Resort are among the resorts with pool refurbishments planned. Last week I had a pleasure of going to Orlando and staying at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort which is a Walt Disney World Value hotel with standard and family suites themed to Disney Animated films.It had The Lion King, Little Mermaid , Finding Nemo, and Cars themed Suites .

Art of Animation features three pools. The centerpiece Big Blue Pool in the Nemo area is the largest pool on Walt Disney World property. With zero entry and an underwater sound system, the pool is truly special. Two smaller quiet pools are located in the Little Mermaid and Cars areas of the Disney Art of Animation Resort. Art of Animation had three pools and sported the largest pool of any Disney World hotel, the Big Blue Pool. That was a bit of a surprise to us. With a whopping 1,984 rooms, Art of Animation Resort was still not Disney World’s largest resort, but it was close. The pool was pretty massive and didn’t look full during our visit. Taking theming
This was my first time to DisneyWorld and so I can't really compare this resort to any of the others on the property. I can give you review based on this experience though. The Disney Art of Animation Resort has 4 different building group themes: Little Mermaid, Lion King, Finding Nemo, and Cars.
