Blu-ray Review - From Beyond (1986): It wasn’t so long ago that Stuart Gordon’s From Beyond was seemingly lost to VHS, with myriad issues holding the film up in red tape limbo. The film finally surfaced on DVD in 2007 in an unrated director’s cut edition from MGM that sported a the serotonin derivative melatonin, a hormone that affects the modulation of wake/sleep patterns and seasonal functions. Research conducted by Dr. Edward Pretorius suggests that carefully modulated electrosonic stimulation of the pineal gland can awaken a sixth sense in some subjects, piercing the veil that separates this dimension from the one beyond.

As a huge fan of that iconic show, it was a moment that I completely nerded out over and have watched the series at least twice since last year alone.
